So… this happened. We were in Paris, and the construction outside our door not only woke us at 0’dark:thirty, but somehow took out the internet connection. I wanted to share the macaron class, but couldn’t access the photos on my little Kindle. So I apologize for the amateur sketches. Luckily, here are a few photos from my phone before its geriatric battery gave up.
But…if anyone wants to come to Glasgow, I’ll make you some macarons and talk about life.Or you could just go to Paris and check in with Chef Eric at La Cuisine Paris. Tell them I sent you.

Barb, I love your sketches!!! They are charming illustrations for your hand-written story. Now that we know you can sketch, we will be expecting more of these from you. At least, I will be. (Seven cousins had dinner together last night, including Eileen, and of course, we talked about you and your adventures. Did you see Trudy in Paris?) 🙂

I’m so sorry to miss Trudy in Paris! And that cousins dinner too. And thanks for kind words about my little drawings.

I agree with everyone, you can definitely sketch! I’ve never tried making macarons but I like eating them 😉

I love eating them. Not quite so enthusiastic about the whole making process, but I do have newfound respect for what that takes.

Great Aunt Fanny (from Lon GUYland) used to say that she never needed to leave New York because you could get everything there and it would either taste better or last longer.
I think she must have been right because she had terrific taste and she lasted almost 100 years.
