Those are cool!! Worth the security hassle I’d say? Does your sister sell them?

My sister makes incredible glass items, but you have to be family or friends to get your hands on them. (If she sold them, she’d have to charge a king’s ransom.) Kind of like that 15-foot redwood slab table my brother made, and which I’ve been trying to figure out how to slip into my luggage…

Yeah, that table is absolutely spectacular. My brother is a woodworker who (luckily) has a great day job to finance his wood hoard.

Beautiful. I think your mistake was saying, “Magic mushrooms.”

I carefully and consciously did NOT say “Magic”, but somehow that word just hung out there anyway.

As it does. That’s why it’s magic.

They ARE special! What gorgeous, beautiful mushrooms. Amazing they survived all of the unwrappings!

And even MORE amazing that they survived my (numerous and increasingly inept) re-wrapping!

It’s the perfect gift—every time I see them in my garden, I’m back with my sisters. Now that really is “magic” mushrooms.

I’ve had to explain to several people (who asked where they could get your mushrooms) that you’ll be keeping that day job. But I REALLY feel so lucky!

You know, I really, really consciously avoided saying the “magic” part. But somehow it was just out there anyway!

Oops, I mean tell but then perhaps you sometimes yell your stories. I know in my family we have to yell to be heard over all the others talking. LOL

Reminds me of the time friends in N Ireland asked us to take her wedding dress back to the UK…we had it packed in a flat cardboard box. Stopped at North/South border (yes, it was pre EU) and had to unpack box …I think they thought it was a cache of Armalite rifles (it DID look suspicious)
