We might not be following a star (let alone have three wise men among us!) but we did cross an ocean to join family in celebrating the arrival of a precious infant. Our impromptu little tree—and most of what’s under it—is all about the baby!
As part of Hugh’s Charity Christmas Tree Topper Photo Challenge, the incredibly generous Hugh will donate £1 to The Dog’s Trust (up to total of £250) for every photo of your treetop posted before Tuesday, 5 January, 2016. On Twelfth Night (6 January), he’ll showcase those who participate in the challenge and let everyone know the results.
Here’s how to join in Hugh’s very fun and generous offer:
- Take a photo of what sits on top of your Christmas tree.
- Create a new post on your blog entitled “Hugh’s Photo Challenge: Week 8 – Charity Christmas Tree Topper Challenge.”
- Add the photo(s) you have taken to the post and tell us a little about what you are showing.
- Link back to Hugh’s challenge post here so that other participants can view your post.
And the most important step of all? Have the merriest of holidays as well as a peaceful and happy new year!

I admit to nothing… But thanks for the reblog and hope you have a wonderful Christmas (even if your granddaughter’s feet are a little cold…)!

Hi Barb. Thank you so much for participating in my Christmas Tree Topper photography challenge in aid of The Dogs Trust Charity.
I have to say that your Christmas tree is very unique in that I have not seen one (yet) that has socks as decorations. What a wonderful idea. I get so many sock at Christmas, so I know what to do with the left over ones next Christmas :)
Thank you very much for participating. By doing so you’ve helped us get a closer to our target and also helped give a homeless dog a meal.
Seasons Greetings and a Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Best wishes,
Hugh 🎅
