Ani on a train? Oh my….

Peri adores it. People tell her she’s a fine wee doggie and she eats it up.

Ani would want her own window seat though… and to meet everyone. Her definition of ‘good dog’ and that of most people do not seem to go hand in paw… 😉

Oh I’m not saying Peri IS a good dog. But that bar is set pretty low in Scotland so she’s able to fool people in trains.

Ah… there may be hope there, then 😉

No–you can take your dog and yourself round trip (return) on just one (single) ticket.

Finn loves the train…and the bus 🙂 And I’m sure Peri is a very good dog.

She tries. Unless food is involved. Or something which might be food so she follows a firm policy of assuming it’s edible until/unless alarming gastrointestinal events should prove differently. And really–by then it’s too late to change her policy anyway…

Ah yes, food. Luckily we haven’t had any alarming gastrointestinal thingies for a while crosses fingers but judging by the quality of the hoovering up of anything and everything I’m a little more than surprised.

And frankly–you’ve met Peri and you’re still calling her “a very good dog”? Are you sure you’re not A Scot?

Not surprising, this. I have a friend who is a flight attendant and told me that here in the US anyone can get a certificate for an emotional support animal to fly with their owners. In addition to the usual dogs and cats, they’ve had snakes, pot bellied pigs, monkeys – she said it’s like flying on Noah’s ark!

I believe that many areas are enacting legislation to make that a bit more rigorous. But a few years ago this was the bane of HR. I can’t tell you how many people found themselves “needing” a comfort animal and requesting accommodation. One woman had a huge German Shepard/wolf (yes…wolf!) mix that had not been spayed so it would go into heat and make the other animals crazy. And the thing is that there really were legitimate requests, such as one from a war veteran. It made me furious to see frivolous demands that I thought demeaned her very real needs.

That’s great! Here half the parks you can’t have a dog at even on leash. 😦

Cooper got to travel by train — and often by gondola — when we were in Europe. He loved it.
Me, I would have liked to have taken Goliath, my alcoholic dog, to the pubs in Scotland. He would have loved them (and the patrons would have loved him). In protest for not being taken along on two different trips, he escaped from our pet sitter and had a wild time himself.
