Last night I was up late watching returns from the midterm elections. There were plenty of heartbreaks, but a thrilling number of firsts as the blue wave is sweeping the House of Representatives.
When I finally fell asleep under my quilt made by American women in Washington, I already knew a record number of my fellow American women—112 so far!—are heading to Congress. Along with a long list of other firsts, they will be changing the face of US government.
Congratulations, America!

It’s so encouraging. Just wait until more of the R-Senate seats are up for reelection. This is just the beginning!

We won some, lost some. I am also very happy that so many women won. And sad that Beto lost, sad that Gillum lost, sad that Kemp wasn’t roundly defeated. And worry that now the 2020 campaigns will start, at least by the liar-in-chief, because I think that’s the part he really likes. Interesting how the parties’ strongholds have changed over the years.

All my life I’ve always said … “The more women … the better.” Of course, I wasn’t speaking of congress … but that works, too!!!
