My grandfather had a mounted elk head hanging in an upstairs room. It freaked me out and I wouldn´t go in that room. Rudolf would not be pleased!

When my son moved to Montana, we kind of freaked too. Not only do Montanans use antlers in ALL their decorating, but there doesn’t seem to be an edifice in the state that doesn’t involved beady dead eyes staring balefully from some decapitated, wall-mounted ex-fauna. Breakfast was the hardest…

Aww, I wanna see the castle all decorated for Christmas!! sticks out lower lip and pouts a little But, um, yeah, Rudolph would not like that stairway much at all, at all.

Actually, I don’t know. These Bambis all became wall-decor over a century ago, and I know that graveyard picnics were popular Victorian pastimes. Maybe Rudolph finds it homey?
