I know winter hasn’t been banished, but it was amazing to get a taste of spring!

There’s something so primal about seeing the sun after a loooooong absence!

Thanks Cathy! It’s the perfect mix of days short enough that dawn comes at a civilized hour and long enough that we can hope for summer.

Even in the dead of winter, I think Scotland is stunning. (Of course, you only have a few hours of daylight to admire a winter day, so I do prefer those loooooong summer days.)

Looking forward to experiencing this at the end of August (a Smithsonian tour, but next year we will go back, rent a car and visit a bunch of places I’m making a list of. also a chance to use my Gaelic!)

Well, you have to remember–this is SCOTLAND. (You only have to wait 10 minutes, and it will probably be raining, sleeting, or full-on mud. We have to take spring on the one afternoon she shows up!)
