She’s a goofball, but we all know the cats are firmly in charge.

Hi Dusk, you and your roommates pulled off a big one, and even if you’re not allowed on the sofa, they do bring you treats and cover for you. Cats = not so shady after all. 😉

Dusk might not be the sharpest knife in the drawer, but even she could figure out that the “treat” was a setup. And of course, the cats are smart enough to know that they might be serial stone killers, but Little Friskies still tastes better than whatever Little Corpses they drag in.

Dusk you clever doggie! Sam Spade in the making. Barb is lucky to have you around to solve mysteries. Love and cuddles.

Of course, having met Dusk, you know she’s just the cats’ fall-dog. Luckily, she’s a Border Collie, so there’s no such thing as bad attention.

Poor Winston! Loved the scene of crime plus exhibit markers. Loved the delightful Dusk. Loved all of it. :D

I’m so glad you liked Dusk’s detective story.
And I know we’re all supposed to be suspicious of AI, but the level of detail in that image generator stuff is just amazing!

I love, love dusk and she could have her own series! mysteries at dusk, sounds like a bbc winner to me. all that being said, I’m quite sure a cat would always outwit dusk, but she would have fun trying –

It would be like Dr. Watson was the star, while sociopath Sherlock was the sidekick. Scary!

What a clever dog, even if he is STILL not allowed on the sofa. Winston has great mystery solving abilities. I might have to hire him for my next book.

I feel so bad for Dusk. She tries to herd the cats, and they ignore her or set her up to take the fall for their crimes.

Utterly brilliant, Barb. Dusk is such a clever dog!!

Haha! Dusk is many many things, but the cats run clever circles around her.

Thank goodness that murder has been solved! Now I can get to sleep tonight!

Yes, that’s Dusk’s goal in life: making sure we all sleep well. Unless the cats get the zoomies, of course, and she has to chase them, barking her fool head off in the middle of the night until we have to take her for a walk in subzero weather because you know what happens when you get woken up in the middle of the night… Unless then.
