I live on a tiny Scottish island with the world’s most insanely talented secret knit-bomber. I just want to mail ALL the letters.

I LOVE the knit bomber. I always wanted to go to the teddy bear’s picnic. Problem was we didn’t have any woods. Sitting around on the prairie having a picnic was never any fun. 🎃👻💀

Oh I don’t know. We had some fabulous prairie picnics when we lived in Illinois, especially when it got late and the fireflies came out.
[Ignores the kibbitzer muttering there wasn’t much else to do on the prairie in central Illinois. There’s always at least one in every crowd…]

We didn’t have fireflies, we had mosquitos the size of crows which meant there were no picnics on our prairies. (Mom firmly believed those suckers could carry away a small child.)

I’ve heard mosquitoes called “the national bird of Canada “

Those post box toppers are TOP! What exceptional talent. I also now was pointed to your knit-bomber post from 2018 (bevor I knew you)… gosh, your sister knows no fear of mixing materials and colours. I got nearly blinder than I am already! :)
The only worry I have is the word bomber for such an extra-ordinary hobby. Is there a plausible reason for mixing something fun and beautiful with that bad word?
I have seen many pictures of trees cladded in knitted outfits; always loved it, always admired it. – When I was younger, I knitted fashion statements, once I knitted myself in a fancy hat, with umpteen (matching!) colours and many materials. I think the material cost me more than a whole outfit including hat would have been ;)
Thank you for brightening my day. I might have missed more posts of you, I had more pressing matters to attend to. I shall furiously search for more by you. I really, really like you – thanks.

Thanks Kiki. And yes…that color-loving sister lives in California and has never met a bright she didn’t love. I admire that.

What a surprise – post box toppers! And what talent – I loved the witch! Reminded me of what I saw in Glascow – traffic cones on statue head!

Here in Scotland, it’s considered a duty to top that—whether it’s the Duke of Wellington on his horse (Copenhagen), or the nearest post box. It’s a law that all visitors have to document their Glasgow trip with a selfie. How else would you know you’ve been there? (In support of Ukraine, he sported a blue and yellow knit bomb chapeau.)

That is an amazing traffic cone! We laughed every time we saw one. I’ll have to check my husband’s phone for a selfie somewhere!

I love the yarn bombing ! Especially in UK you are the best to do those incredibles inimaginable things. And you have the great chance to live in Scotland. I am French and i went multiple times in Scotland with my husband and daughter. Now my daughter goes with her fiancé. Its a place where we are feeling souls.
