In honor of National Short Story Day and the shortest day of the year, I’d like to offer you a free Null City story from incredibly addictive meme-generator They Fight Crime! When I tried it (over and over) I ended up with this logline:
He’s an ungodly soccer-playing card sharp on a mission from God. She’s a beautiful punk fairy princess with her own daytime radio talk show. They fight crime!

[ETERNAL THANKS TO MEME-GENERATOR THEY FIGHT CRIME!] [UPDATE OCT. 11, 2013: THE ORIGINAL MEME GENERATOR HAS DISAPPEARED. LUCKILY FOR US NERDS LEFT BEHIND, PAUL MAKEPEACE’S TOYS HAVE REPRODUCED IT HERE.]
Here is my comment; please give me something free!
Seriously, Barb, how did you get your logline? I clicked on Mr. Makepeace’s site and saw other loglines but how do I get one for Mabel? There must be someplace where I have to tell this site a little about my book.

Actually, I had the meme generate a logline, and used that as the story prompt. Just tried it again and got “He’s a maverick moralistic cop on the run. She’s a green-fingered antique-collecting vampire operating on the wrong side of the law. They fight crime!” I’ve totally got to write that one too! And somebody please… stop me before I click again.
