Some type of Gunnera? It’s spectacular!

Not sure it’s gunnera. We have some out by the little playhouse, and it manages to look like something leftover from Jurassic Park each summer.

Yes, the sun is shining in Scotland, and they are ice-skating in hell.
Last week we were on Skye and—I swear I’m not making this up—I got a sunburn. I’m pretty sure I was still in Scotland, though, because the midges were also doing their best to consume my ears.

I don’t think it’s a species of Gunnera, Doesn’t look shiny enough? Go with Sue, Barb, she sounds very knowledgeable!!

It’s an elephant eared hydranga.
Just kidding. I made that up, but that’s what it looks like.

Dunno about this one, but I’ve got two elephants growing in my garden, so big I’m almost afraid to touch them…

I don’t know what it is, but it is certainly beautiful! Perfect leaves for imprinting into handmade stepping stones.
