I’m so grateful for all the steps she took for all people, no matter how many X chromosomes they have.
Just before her death, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg dictated this statement via her granddaughter Clara Spera: “My most fervent wish is that I will not be replaced until a new president is installed.”

I feel an overwhelming sadness at losing her, in part because of her greatness and her values, in part because I fear what might follow her, especially with Mitch and the crew suddenly finding it not a bad thing to get a new justice before the election – the opposite of the position he took four years ago.

While we knew it was coming, the weight is even heavier than I expected. I’m glad the movie was made within her lifetime. She deserved to know the esteem in which we held her.
