Dane Curse by Matt Abraham: graphic novel without the graphics #bookreview

November 12, 2015

“Ok, so Pinnacle is a sexy hero, there’s no denying it. But the thing is he’s not just sexy, he’s thee sexy. Nobody can compare, he’s the total package; the body, the face, the attitude, the intellect, the sense of right and wrong… all wrapped up in that white bread Americana that gets a girl purring. Seriously, every vibrator I own is named Pinnacle.”

“I named my pistols.”

“Not the same thing.”

But is it Art? Beer, death & a giant pink tongue: #FridayFiveChallenge from @rosieamber1

November 6, 2015

An hour or so later, I was lying on a giant pink tongue, the color and sticky consistency of well-chewed bubble gum. I swear that I am not making this up.

Guest Blog: Kassandra Lamb has suitcase, will travel

November 3, 2015

Why do we pay good money for the privilege of stuffing our most necessary belongings into two suitcases (one of them a way-too-small carry-on), partially disrobing in security lines, sitting in sardine cans called airplanes for hours, pushing through crowded airports to reclaim said suitcases, and then living in a sight-unseen, much smaller living space than the one we left behind (for which we are already paying a hefty mortgage)?

Coffee with Barb & Lisa Burton—Spokesmodel Robot from CS Boyack’s tales

Superpowers suck? Try Null City. After one day there, imps become baristas, and hellhounds become poodles. But someone should have told them the angels were all on the other side.

Each morning, hope flares in the tiny flash of a second before I touch that first thing. And destroy it.

Warden Carey Parker's to-do list is already long enough: find her brother and sister, rescue her roommate, save Null City, and castrate her ex-boyfriend. Preferably with a dull-edged garden tool. A rusty one.

Two novellas: "Payback Is A Witch" & "Just For The Spell Of It"

The story of three women eating our way across India in search of adventure, elephants, temples, palaces, western toilets, monkeys, the perfect paratha…and the kindness of Indian strangers.
